How to Sync macOS device with Intune

In this article, we’ll show you how to sync macOS device with Intune. The Check Status action forces your enrolled Mac to sync with Intune for the latest updates, requirements, and communications from your organization.

The Intune Company Portal app installed on Mac regularly syncs devices when they’re connected to Wi-Fi. The Company Portal sync action can be used to reconnect and bring your device up-to-date if you need to disconnect for an extended period of time.

Syncing can also help resolve work-related downloads or other processes that are in progress or stalled. If you’re experiencing slow or unusual behavior while installing or using a work app, try syncing your device to see if an update or requirement is missing.

There are two ways to sync your macOS device with Intune: Company Portal app and Intune admin center. You can use any of these methods to update the Intune policies on your Mac devices.
