Here’s how you can deploy Microsoft PC Manager on Windows devices with Intune.

Step 1: Sign in to the Microsoft Intune Admin Center. Navigate to Apps > Windows and click on the Add button. In the Select app type pane, select Microsoft Store app (new) under the Store app section.

Step 2: On the App Information tab, select Search the Microsoft Store app (new). In the search bar, type “Microsoft PC Manager,” and from the search results, select the Microsoft PC Manager app.

Step 3: On the App Information tab, configure information about the PC Manager app. Click Next.

Step 4: On the Assignments tab, add your Entra ID groups to target the Microsoft PC Manager app deployment. Click Next.

The PC managed app is created and added to Microsoft Intune. You should also see a notification that confirms the PC manager app has been created successfully. The new app appears under the list of apps from Windows devices in the Intune admin center. All you need to do now is wait for the app deployment to begin.

Sync Intune policies

The enrolled Windows devices are synced with Intune at regular intervals for the latest policies, deployments, and configurations. The policy refresh cycle for Windows devices enrolled in Intune is 8 hours. You can wait for 8 hours for the deployment to kick-in, or simply speed up the deployment by manually refreshing the policies. You can initiate the policy sync from the Intune admin center or via the company portal app.

Monitor app deployment in Intune

Once you have deployed the Microsoft PC Manager app with Intune, you can monitor the installation progress in the Intune admin center.

  • In the Intune admin center, navigate to Apps > Windows, and in the search box, type “Microsoft PC Manager.”
  • Select the Microsoft PC Manager application, and on the Overview blade, you can see the total number of users and devices have successfully installed the app.

To confirm if the Microsoft PC Manager app installation is successful via Intune, sign in to one of the Windows devices. Click on Start and type “PC Manager,” and the app appears in the search results. To launch the app, click Open.

Whenever new versions of PC Manager are released, the UWP application is automatically updated in the background, similar to other applications.
